This place has the best street tacos around. Serving up authentic, Mexican street fare, and a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys. Bakersfield is a spot where the food is simple, the service is warm and the atmosphere is alive.

This 6 story, 24-hour restaurant boasts six unique floors, each with gorgeous views of downtown. The menu features everything from traditional breakfast fare and lunch specialties, to mouth-watering steaks, exquisite seafood, Southern home-style dishes, Italian classics, freshly shucked oysters, and sushi. Chargrilled oysters are darn good!

This place has light bites — sandwiches, an orzo pasta salad that is out of this world and homemade chex mix — and coffee inside Jackalope Brewery. Plus there are vegetarian options available. Go a little later for beer.

This is an affordable downhome cafeteria style meat and three. Don’t be deterred by long lines–– it always moves fast. Pro tip: Get the meatloaf if they’re serving it that day.
